Recharge Codes of all operators

It is a major issue now a days as the operators reduced the size of recharge coupon and the wording printed on it are very tiny and unable to read. Many of the customers had to call customer care for getting the respective recharges codes to prefix before the secret number.

So here is the recharges codes of all major operators.

Airtel introduced two new ISD packs - Enable lower call tariffs

Airtel Kerala introduced two new ISD tariffs which will allow customers to connect with their family or relatives with comparatively lower tariff.

For getting this benefit customers has to recharge with Rs.55 or with Rs.7 which will give a validity of 30 days from the date of recharge.

With Rs.55 recharge customers can talk to US, Canada and UK (landline) for 1 paise per second which is lower than the current local mobile tariffs.

With Rs.7 recharge customers can make calls to UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia on Fridays at 10 paise per second.

Alternatively customers can activate this pack by dialing *333*5# from their mobile phones.

Top 3 operators increase SMS tariff drastically

Operator STV MRP Earlier Benefit Current Benefit
Airtel 44 3000 SMS 30 days validity Rs.44 : 600 SMS 15 days
Rs.74 : 1000 SMS for 30 days
Rs.151 : 2000 SMS for 30 days
VODA 47 3000 SMS 30 days validity Rs.77 : 1000 SMS for 30 days
Rs.147 : 2000 SMS for 30 days
IDEA 44 3000 SMS 30 days validity Rs.76 : 1000 SMS for 30 days
Rs.153 : 2000 SMS for 30 days

SMS and SMS restrictions were the hot news in the industry for quite some time after TRAI implemented 100 SMS per day, the same withdrawn and reinitiated after some time.

Now even if TRAI allows also we cannot send too many SMSs as we were doing earlier. Short messaging becomes very costlier from the beginning of the year 2013

It is noticed that top 3 operators increasing their SMS tariffs very drastically, about 400% hike in many of the SMS STVs. It is true that operators implemented SMS termination charges, earlier it was applicable only for Voice calls. This much increase is clearly as part of their combined move to increase revenue share.

Airtel, Vodafone and Idea raises GPRS Tariffs

Airtel, Vodafone and Idea raised their GPRS tariff in many circles. In the beginning of 2012 we have seen 3G services is getting popularized among the youths because of the fancy of its speed. Still many of them are not using it because of the high tariff and GPRS is available with lesser price though they have to compromise on speed.

Now as part of promoting 3G services, operators started increasing the GPRS tariffs, and now with this latest increase GPRS becomes almost as much expensive as 3G.

BSNL has still not raised their tariff but based on the previous experiences we can assume that they will also raise the tariff in couple of day's time. Now TATA Docomo, Reliance and MTS have become the cheapest GPRS providers, but we have to compromise on coverage as they don't have coverage especially in many of the rural areas but they offer superior speed wherever they have coverage.

Here is the latest tariff board of these operators (this may differ from circle to circle, so please check with your call center or retailer before doing the recharge)
