Aircel to scale down operations in Selected Circles

In continuation with the latest news came on all major dailies stating that Aircel is going to slow down operations in 5 Circles - Madhyapradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Panjab and Rajastan, they are also going to slow down operations in Kerala and Karnataka Circles, said a top official working with Aircel.

With this they will gradually stop all ICR tie ups with other operators as well as to stop supply in ICR towns. They will stop all paper coupon billing and discontinue all STVs and GPRS services from these circles. There won't be any kind of promotional activities including telecalling and product upsell from next month. Also they will stop all support to distributor including BDO and SPOC.

It will clearly affect the acquisitions in these circles as they are going to stop funding to these circles including sales acquisition costs (SAC). As per then they are taking this steps inorder to reduce the operation costs and nullify the net loss which they are bearing from these circles.

  9. FROM NOVEMBER 2012 ONWARDS…..
    (i) No Top-ups available
    (2) No flexi available
    (3) No link to Customer Service Representative from 121
    (4) No Rate Cutters available
    (5) No response from Sales Representatives
    (6) Only Online Recharge is possible….
    (7) USSD using *121# is not available
    (8) No other scheme (using code) available
This shows that Aircel is not interested to continue their service in Kerala region. They say that updation is in Progress… (by cutting down their service ?!!! ....... in KERALA ???!!!!!) Guess the rest…
