By the end of last week Idea cellular, the emerging operator in GSM segment has increased its onnet (idea to idea) and all other local call rates in various STVs (special tariff vouchers)
Henceforth all Idea to Idea call rates in their STVs will be charged at 20paise per minute instead of 10 paise. It will be applicable to their Onnet STVs - 38, 69 which is giving a validity of 14 and 30 days respectively. But in order to satisfy the need of customers, idea has introduced a new pack which is giving idea to idea calls at 10 paise per minute priced at Rs.165, all other local calls will be charged at 30 paise per minute with a validity of 30 days.
In the same way local mobile calls which was charged at 1.5paise for 2 seconds is revised to 1.6p for 2 seconds. This is applicable in STV 42, FRC 4, 129, 396 and in all MNP recharges which all giving a validity of 30 days.
As per the previous experiences, it is obvious that all other major operators would follow the same tariff increase soon.
Note: product denominations vary from circle to circle (the above given products are as available in Kerala circle). Please check with your retailer or idea call center before doing the recharges.
