Telecom Operators Eyeing to make blackout days applicable on Voice Calls also

 Operators are planning to make the base tariff rates applicable on Voice calls also on selected festival days during a year. Earlier it was applicable only for SMS that operators will charge base tariff rate of Rs.1/2/3 during the blackout days. Now they are eyeing to include voice calls also to this blackout list so that they can make more revenue during this period.

Some of the Airtel and Idea circles have already made decision on this and Aitel website is already updated with this. Vodafone is yet to make decision on this.
