Vodafone India kick-started its ‘Happy to Help’ initiative in Kerala by donating 400 raincoats to Kerala police here on Thursday. The initiative has been launched with the objective of providing relief to commuters during heavy rains.
The raincoats inscribed with the message ‘Use seat-belt’ were handed over to ADGP R Sreelekha IPS by by Venugopal V, senior manager of Vodafone, at the Police Headquarters in Vazhuthacaud. IG (Administration) Manoj Abraham was also present.
Vodafone also announced that it will deploy ushers carrying huge umbrellas at major railway stations like Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Ernakulam South, Ernakulum Town, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kannur to assist commuters during heavy rains.
